From 1 November 2025, the new Support at Home program will replace the current Home Care Packages system.

This program is part of the Australian Government’s aged care reforms. It is designed to make in-home care simpler, clearer, and more flexible, so senior Australians can receive the right support while staying in their own homes.

We provide personalised in-home support including:

What Has Changed?

• There are now 8 funding levels (instead of 4), so support can better match your needs.
• You receive a budget every 3 months.
• There is one single assessment process for all aged care services.
• The program includes end-of-life and palliative care at home, if needed.
• Financial hardship assistance is available if you cannot afford your contribution.

💰 How Does Funding Work?

After your aged care assessment, you will be placed into one of 8 funding levels, depending on your care needs.

Each level has a fixed quarterly budget set by the Australian Government.

Important to know:

• Budgets are set by the Government and are not negotiable.
• If your needs change, your funding level can be reviewed.
• If you do not use all your funds, you can carry over up to
  $1,000 or 10% of your quarterly budget (whichever is greater) to the next quarter.

📋 How to Access Support at Home

Support at Home services are accessed through My Aged Care.

If you or your loved one need assistance:

1. Register with My Aged Care
2. Complete an aged care assessment
3. Receive funding approval
4. Choose Nine Fruit Care as your provider
